A visit to the Ikon Gallery

Last week, I went with a friend to the Ikon Gallery in Birmingham. I had never been before. Which is a shame because it was amazing and also really close to where I live. The show we saw was FRIENDS IN LOVE AND WAR - L’ÉLOGE DES MEILLEUR·ES ENNEMI·ES. WORKS FROM THE BRITISH COUNCIL COLLECTION AND MACLYON

Combined textiles, sculpture, fibre art, tapestry, film, and traditional painting — this show looks indepth to the conflict and tension between love, longstanding friendships, and the tolerance of your perceived enemies. Here are a few images I took from the show. It is on until 23 February, 2025. Free to the public.
